Reporting Injuries

If a players is injured during a match or training it is important that this be reported to the Bankstown District Amateur Football Association (BDAFA).

You never know when an injury will turn out to be more serious than first though and require a claim on insurance.

Reporting injuries and making claims on insurance is done online via the links below.

What to do when it rains

Up until 2pm each Friday it is Council’s responsibility to decide whether our grounds are open. Each week day Council inspects the grounds morning and afternoon, then advises which grounds are open and closed. This information can be accessed by all via the Field Availability Line 1300 655 180 and online at Wet Weather Status Report for Sporting Fields in the City of Canterbury Bankstown.

Information is updated each week day at 8.30am and 2.30pm. If a ground is closed, we can’t train or play there.

If the grounds are closed at 2pm on Friday, they are closed for the weekend. If they are open at 2pm Friday but we then receive rain, it is up to us, the club, to decide whether the grounds are fit to be played on. That decision usually cannot be made until 7am Saturday morning and if we decide to close the grounds, we will contact all teams by text, email, web site and Facebook to let them know.

If your team’s game is on, it is not your decision as to whether to play or not. If you know there won’t be enough players for a particular game, for whatever reason, a forfeit needs to be notified by the Thursday before the game at the latest. If you haven’t notified a forfeit, and your game hasn’t been called off, your team is expected to turn up ready to play.
